Let’s say you run a “lean” company and you keep your overhead to ONLY 25%
So we’ll lop off 25% of $200,000 because you probably haven't reduced your costs in proportion to your accounts receivables—BECAUSE NO ONE CAN!—So now we’re down from $165,000 to $115,000.
Now we calculate your hourly worth and…
…you’re actually collecting
$63.88 per hour for your work!
BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!
You still haven’t paid taxes
on what you “earned.”
Let’s be conservative and take 25% from your $115,000 adjusted gross revenue and you get to “keep” $86,250. So…
At the end of the day, you are billing and putting into your pocket an actual hourly rate of $47.91 per hour of actual time spent working.
